SPARE PARTS
OCEAN ASIA LIMITED is registered with the Joint Stock Companies and is enlisted with Bangladesh Customs and the Port Authority. As licensed clearing and forwarding agents, we are fully capable of clearing ship spare parts through Bangladesh Customs. We regularly update shipowners on all requirements and procedures related to ship spares clearance in Bangladesh. We also arrange secure transportation from Dhaka to Chattogram, Mongla, or Payra, ensuring safe handling and timely delivery of ship spares directly to the vessel.
We assure our principals of the quickest possible customs clearance, safe transportation, and on-time delivery of ship spares within the committed timeframe. Once assigned, we take full responsibility and liability for customs clearance and delivery of ship spares to the vessel, whether at Chattogram, Mongla, or Payra port/anchorage.
Our Clearing Department can commence the ship spares clearance procedure only after the vessel arrives at Chattogram Port. As per Bangladesh Customs rules and regulations, it is not possible to initiate the clearance process prior to the vessel’s arrival at Chattogram. Please also note that, during the customs clearance procedure, the vessel must be present within Bangladesh territorial waters, in accordance with prevailing customs rules and regulations.
Further, there are two designated international airports in Bangladesh through which ship spares may be dispatched for delivery to the vessel:
- Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport, Dhaka
- Shah Amanat International Airport, Chattogram
RESTRICTION: Please do not send any liquid items as ship spares for the vessel, as Bangladesh Customs does not permit clearance of liquid cargo as ship spares under any circumstances.
